Intercooling My Turbo 2.3 Mustang
Next step was to go to the junkyard and locate an intercooler from a Volvo 760. Just by luck there was one at the U-pull It in Jacksonville, Fl. I asked the junkyard attendant how much for an intercooler and he said $12 to $15 dollars. You should have seen his face when I came back with this thing! It measures approx. 26" X 18" and has 2 1/2" inlets and outlets. This bad beast has plastic ends and an aluminum core. I think it'll do!
My new/used Volvo 760 intercooler!
I proceeded to Lowes Home Inprovement
to buy the pipe that I would use to plumb this thing onto the engine. I
picked out the black CPVC and bought the proper primer and glue. Then went
to work with a hack saw. (my favorite tool) I ended up with a masterpiece
of artwork. I like when a plan comes together. <snicker> All I can say
right now is that the car is a lot faster!

And it all fits under the hood!
More Pictures to come!!
